At Christmastime, one of my favorite things to give is a homemade treat neatly packaged in a mason jar. Here is a simple powdered hot chocolate recipe that is great to gift in mason jars. This recipe makes a creamy, sweet cup of hot comfort. It’s mild and delicious! Use the festive prints from the Color Me Holiday set to dress up your jar and you’ll have the perfect homemade gift to give.
For the hot chocolate, you will need 6 cups of powdered milk, one 16 ounce can of Nestles Quick, one 8 ounce jar of Coffee Mate, and 1 cup of powdered sugar.
Combine all ingredients together in a bowl and mix well with a spoon. Use 1/3 cup mix to 1 cup hot water. It makes quite a bit, so it’s perfect if you have many gifts to give. You may even have some leftover for yourself!
Spoon the mix into a mason jar and top with marshmallows. Use one of the circle stickers from the Color Me Holiday set on the lid, wrap the jar with a bit of twine and your gift is ready to give. Your friends will love this tasty treat.
