Earlier this month, we received a great email from a customer, Shani Ahearn from Catholic Charities CYO, letting us know what she is doing with two of our products:
I just wanted to let you know that your Olliblocks and Ollibots will be going to some really special kids this year. I work for a nonprofit that works with many, many poor and homeless families in the San Francisco Bay Area. For our holiday lunch this year, my team, which focuses on development and communications, will be getting together to make 3 full sets of 6 sets of Olliblocks and 2 sets of Ollibots to give to three of our program sites this holiday season. Our program staff loved that the characters are diverse and will encourage brain-boosting creative play. The programs who will receive these blocks are:
- Star Community Home, the first and only transitional shelter for homeless single mothers and their children
- Treasure Island Child Development Center, which provides quality child care to dozens of families living in poverty
- Refugee and Immigrant Services, whose Monday clinic takes place in our administrative office and we don’t currently have any toys for the children to play with while their parents meet with program staff
I just thought you would enjoy knowing where some of your Olliblocks and Ollibots will be ending up.
